Gobi Paratha Recipe | Gobhi Paratha

Gobi Paratha is a popular North Indian flat bread, stuffed with grated cauliflower flavoured with spices which are easily available in our kitchen. This can be an ideal and filling breakfast accompanied with your favourite raita or pickle and a generous amount of ghee on top of it.

There are different ways to prepare this gobhi paratha. One way is to grate or coarsely grind the cauliflower and later cook with spices to flavour it. Another is to cook with spices before you grate or grind it.

Even for stuffing there are two ways to do. One way is to make simple 2 rotis. Spread the stuffing on one of the rotis and cover it from top using the other one. Second way is what I have shown it here.
So, let start making it.

How to make gobhi paratha with step by step photos:

1. Break cauliflower into small florets. Make sure there are no worms. Add littie salt, turmeric and hot water & cover it. Let it sit for about 10 minutes. Drain it and grind it coarsely along with green chillies.

2. Heat oil in a pan. Splutter cumin seeds and saute ginger garlic paste. Add chopped onions and saute till translucent. Add all the masala powders. Mix and then add grated cauliflower and potato. Mix well till all combined.

3. Knead a dough for chapathi. It should not be too hard or too soft. Pinch out a small ball size from the dough and roll it into a small chapathi. Put 2 tbsp of cauliflower filling at the center. Hold together edges and seal it properly.
4. Coat it with little flour and roll it into a big round. Be careful not to press too much, otherwise the filling will come out. Heat a griddle and cook it from both sides. Apply ghee and serve hot with your favourite pickle and curd.
